Williamsport is the largest city in Lycoming County and North Central Pennsylvania.Williamsport is the county seat of Lycoming PA. It is the birthplace of Little League baseball and South WIlliamsport continues to host the Little League World Series every year. Recently, interest has grown in extracting natural gas in the Williamsport area. Another notable resource is the Lycoming aircraft engines which is a division of Avco Corporation.
